Forward and Inverse D-Form Modelling Based on Optimisation

چکیده

D-Form is a special piece-wise developable surface formed by aligning the boundaries of two planar domains. It has been widely used in different design scenarios. In this paper, we study how to computationally and intuitively model D-Forms. We present an optimisation-based framework that can efficiently generate shapes. Our D-Forms with approaches based on user inputs, including forward modelling from given domains and, more importantly, inverse space curve where are no longer needed. optimisation devised critical characteristics Firstly, constituent surfaces isometrically deformed Secondly, there close relationship between convex hull its seam. Through extensive evaluation, demonstrate our approach plausible various inputs geometric properties.

Integrating Optimisation And Agent-Based Modelling

A key strength of agent-based modelling is the ability to explore the upward-causation of micro-dynamics on the macro-level behaviour of a system. However, in policy contexts, it is also important to be able to represent downward-causation from the macro and mesolevels to the micro, and to represent decision-making at the macro level (i.e., by governments) in a sensible way. Though we cannot mo...

High-Efficient Architectures for 2-D Lifting-Based Forward and Inverse Discrete Wavelet Transform

In this paper, high-efficient lifting-based architectures for the 5/3 discrete wavelet transform (DWT) are proposed. The proposed parallel and pipelined architecture consists of a horizontal filter (HF) and a vertical filter (VF). The system delays of the proposed architectures are reduced. Filter coefficients of the biorthogonal 5/3 wavelet low-pass filter are quantized before implementation i...

Inverse reliability measures and reliability-based design optimisation

Several inverse reliability measures (e.g. Probabilistic Performance Measure (PPM) and Probabilistic Sufficiency Factor (PSF)) that are essentially equivalent have been introduced in recent years as measures of safety. The different names for essentially the same measure reflect the fact that different researchers focused on different advantages of inverse measures. These advantages include imp...

global results on some nonlinear partial differential equations for direct and inverse problems
